    2021 Fall Season - Playoff Round 2 Recap


    The second round of playoffs included some close matchups amongst the league's top teams, while the consolation games were equally exciting with teams vying for third place.

    (2) Thundercats 22 vs 14 (3) Ballhawks

    In the semifinals, the Thundercats avenge their two regular season losses to defeat the Ballhawks, advancing their way to the Championship Finals. The Thundercats, led by QB Fred Davies, will look to face off against the Samurai Dragons in the finals. Meanwhile, the Ballhawks will look to claim third place through the consolation games.


    (1) Free Agents 22 vs 35 (4) Samurai Dragons

    The Samurai Dragons complete the upset victory over top seeded Free Agents to advance into the finals of the league championship. The Samurai Dragons are led by QB Keisuke Nagai and top receiver Minoru Nakashima, and will play against the reigning champions Thundercats (previously Revengers). The Free Agents look to claim third place through the consolation games.


    (7) Lantau Buffaloes 31 vs 18 (6) Lost Boys

    The Lantau Buffaloes defeated the Lost Boys in the 1st round of the consolation rounds. The Lantau Buffaloes look to play the Free Agents in the next round of consolation for third place.


    (5) IcyHots 0 vs 20 (8) Hong Kong Football Team

    The Hong Kong Football Team win by forfeit over the IcyHots in the 1st round of the consolation rounds. The Hong Kong Football Team look to play the Ballhawks in the next round of consolation for third place.

    2021 Fall Season - Playoff Round 1 Recap


    The first round of playoffs began this past week with some close games, and also some blowouts, as teams battle on their way to the championship. 

    (1) Free Agents 38 vs 28 (8) Hong Kong Football Team

    In this game between the top seeded Free Agents and the lowest seeded HK Football Team, the Free Agents maintained their position as the top team in the league in a closer than anticipated match up. The Free Agents lead for the majority of the game, with 3 quick touchdowns from QB Steve Suh. However, two back to back turnovers in the second half brought the Hong Kong Football Team back within two scores.

    Unfortunately the HK Football Team couldn't pull out the upset. QB Emilio Zhang led the team with 4 touchdowns to 4 different receivers. 

    The Free Agents head into the second round of playoffs this week while the Hong Kong Football Team enters the consolation bracket for a chance to claim the third place title.


    (4) Samurai Dragons 27 vs 6 (5) IcyHots

    In the first round matchup between the 4th and 5th seed, the Samurai Dragons took this win over the injury ridden IcyHots. The Dragons cruised through this game, with QB Keisuke Nagai throwing for 4 touchdowns, with 3 to WR Ryo Nishikawa and another to WR Minoru Nakashima. On the defensive side of the ball, CB Takaaki Sakagami led the defense with an interception.

    The IcyHots held their own despite being shorthanded on players. QB Tyler Treece led the team with one score, but unfortunately could not get the offense going in any rhythm.

    The Dragons will continue to the second round of the winners bracket while the IcyHots will enter the consolation bracket to claim third place.


    (3) Ballhawks 21 vs 14 (6) Lost Boys

    In the closest game of the first round, the Ballhawks defeated the Lost Boys in a back and forth game between both teams. 

    The Ballhawks continue their winning streak, entering the playoffs as the hottest team in the league. Led by QB Andy Schultz, along with the return of WR Kevin Recco, the Ballhawks were able to keep the Lost Boys in check.

    The Lost Boys came up short in this close fought game but have much optimism and a bright future for their team. Over half of the Lost Boys current roster were rookies or have never played together, and were able to muster a few clutch wins towards the end of the regular season.

    The Ballhawks will enter the second round of the winners bracket while the Lost Boys enter the consolation bracket for a shot at third place.


    (2) Thundercats 4vs 6 (7) Lantau Buffaloes

    The Thundercats won this game in resounding fashion, overcoming a key loss in the highest scoring game of the first round.

    Led by QB Fred Davies, the Thundercats dominated on both sides of the ball, with multiple touchdowns thrown by Davies to 4 different receivers. On the defensive side, multiple 5th down stops and interceptions allowed the Thundercats to hold the Buffaloes to single digits.

    The Buffaloes had their opportunities to move the ball up the field but were hindered by mistakes on both sides of the ball. QB Jay Ma threw for his only touchdown to go to receiver Rocky Ramos. 

    The Thundercats, with their victory, will enter the second round of the winner's playoffs while the Buffaloes will join the consolation bracket for third place.

    2021 Fall Season - Week 8 Recap


    During the final week of the regular season, teams faced off to improve their standings heading into the playoffs, with a series of upsets over higher seeded teams.

    Lost Boys 22 vs 13 Lantau Buffaloes

    The Lost Boys took this match up in a close game that was a one score game until the final moments. QB Bobby Rubino threw 2 touchdowns, both to WR Mat Lee, who joined for the first game this season. Gadget player Chris Woo also ran for a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, Lee also had 2 interceptions. Rookie rusher Abdul Tahhan dominated on defense with 2 sacks and a game changing safety, now leading the league in sacks this season.

    The Buffaloes kept the game close but fell short at the end. Rookie QB Kian Baines threw for 2 touchdowns, both to top receiver Rocky Ramos, who closes out his season with 7 touchdowns.

    Both the Lost Boys and Lantau Buffaloes finish the season at 2-6 and head into the playoffs as the 6th and 7th seed, respectively.


    Hong Kong Football Team 26 vs 20 IcyHots

    The Hong Kong Football Team came up with an upset win on a last second touchdown throw from QB Emilio Zhang to WR Ryu Jihyup defeat the IcyHots. Zhang also threw for another touchdown to C/WR Michael Chang. RB Jonny Chia rushed for 2 touchdowns.

    The IcyHots, still affected with injuries, were unable to finish their season with a win. 

    The Hong Kong Football Team finished the season at 2-6 and will enter the playoffs as the 8th seed, while the IcyHots finish their season at 3-4-1 and will enter the playoffs as the 5th seed.


    Samurai Dragons 24 vs 14 Free Agents

    In another upset, the Samurai Dragons claim this revenge game victory over the Free Agents after losing to them earlier this season. QB Keisuke Nagai threw for 3 touchdowns, with 2 to top receiver Minoru Nakashima, who overtook the lead for most receiver touchdowns in the league this season. C Masaki Sugawara also caught a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, the Dragons withstood a late second comeback and sealed the victory with an interception return for a touchdown by S Masataka Nozaki.

    The Free Agents were led by QB Steve Suh, who threw for 2 touchdowns to WR Travis Gavalis and Roger DeLeon.

    Despite the loss, the Free Agents will enter the playoffs as the 1st seed, finishing with a 6-2 record while the Samurai Dragons will enter the playoffs as the 4th seed with a 4-3-1 record.

    Ballhawks 19 vs 0 Thundercats

    In another rematch, the Ballhawks defeat the Thundercats, handing them their second loss of the season. QB Alex Schultz threw for 3 touchdowns, with 2 to WR Kevin Recco, who returned to the league this season in dominant fashion. WR Mark Brough caught another touchdown. On the defensive side, DB Adam Brough had an interception while R Victor C had one sack.

    The Thundercats couldn't get their offense going, especially with top receiver Alexei TwoVeals out of action this game. 

    The Ballhawks complete their sweep of the Thundercats during the regular season and enter the playoffs as the hottest team in the league, finishing with a 6-2 record as the 3rd seed. 

    Despite the loss, the Thundercats remain as the 2nd seed heading into the playoffs.

    2021 Fall Season - Week 7 Recap


    As we approach the end of the regular season, Week 7 featured high scoring games as teams prepare for the playoffs. 

    Ballhawks 26 vs 0 Hong Kong Football Team

    The Ballhawks continue to rise up the rankings after a slow start to the season with a shutout victory this week against the Hong Kong Football Team.

    QB Alex Schultz threw for 4 TDs with 2 each to WR Laroy Hoard and gadget player Brandon Little, who also accounted for 2 sacks. The Ballhawks were equally dominate on the defensive side of the ball, led by John McCareins capturing his 5th pick of the season.

    The Hong Kong Football Team couldn't get anything going on this one and head into the final week of the regular season with a 1-6 record. Meanwhile, the Ballhawks are in sole possession of third place heading into the final week and the playoffs, and can only improve on their current standing.


    Lantau Buffaloes 20 vs 41 Samurai Dragons

    The Samurai Dragons won this game with some big time plays, led by QB Keisuke Nagai throwing for 5 TDs and rushing for 1 TD in one of the most impressive performances this season. Top receiver Minoru Nakashima caught 4 TD and now leads the league in receiving touchdowns.

    The Buffaloes found success on offense but couldn't keep up with the Samurai Dragons high octane offense. QB Jay Ma threw for 3 touchdowns to three different receivers.

    The Samurai Dragons has a 3-3-1 record while the Lantau Buffaloes look to protect their 6th seed, as both teams enter the final week of the regular season.


    Lost Boys 20 vs 41 Free Agents

    The Free Agents bounced back from their loss last week with a victory over the Lost Boys. QB Steve Suh threw for 4 touchdowns and caught another one. WR Travis Gavalis had 2 receiving touchdowns and an INT, while receivers Alton Chow and Roger Deleon both caught a touchdown each. Gadget player Chelsea Hammerschmidt also threw for her first touchdown of the season.

    The Lost Boys were led by QB Bobby Rubino this week, who threw all 3 of his touchdowns to top receiver Steve Safarowic. Rusher Phil Marumahoko had 1 sack while DB Alex Verge had 1 INT for the Lost Boys.

    The Free Agents enter the final week with a 6-1 record while the Lost Boys look to secure their 7th seed heading into their last game.


    Thundercats 20 vs 0 IcyHots

    The Thundercats took this win with a forfeit from the IcyHots.

    The Thundercats enter the final week at 6-1, while the IcyHots enter the final week at 3-3-1.

    2021 Fall Season - Week 6 Recap


    After a two week break we resume our Fall season with a weekend of exciting games for Week 6.

    Lantau Buffaloes 26 vs 14 Hong Kong Football Team

    The Lantau Buffaloes continued their winning streak this week, recording their second win in a row against the Hong Kong Football Team. QB Jay Ma threw for 3 TDs to three different receivers. WR/R Tyler Chew had 1 Rec and 1 Rushing TD, while back up quarterback Kian Baines had a receiving TD and an INT on defense.

    The Hong Kong Football Team kept this game close but fell short at the end. Quarterback Emilio Zhang threw for 2 TDs, both to top receiver Ady Adefris.

    The Lantau Buffaloes head into Week 7 at 2-4 while the Hong Kong Football Team fall to 1-5.


    Ballhawks 36 vs 30 Lost Boys

    The Ballhawks win in a close back and forth matchup, closing the game out with a key score and defensive stop. Quarterback Alex Schultz continues to lead the Ballhawks to wins after rejoining the team mid-season, throwing for 4 TDs this week. WR Laroy Hoard led the receiving corps with 2 TDs. Defensively, the Ballhawks were able to pick off the Lost Boys twice.

    The Lost Boys were led by gadget quarterback Chris Woo who accounted for 4 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD. WR Steve Safarowic caught 3 TDs and rookie WR Vic Baccaro caught another. On the defensive side, rookie rusher Abdul Tahhan continues to dominate, now leading the league in sacks. 

    The Ballhawks improve to 4-2 while the Lost Boys drop to 1-5.


    Thundercats 33 vs 14 Free Agents

    In the matchup this week between the top 2 seeds of the league, the Thundercats defeat the Free Agents, who were the only remaining undefeated team. QB Fred Davies led the Thundercats with another 4 TD performance, spreading the ball around to 4 different receivers. Davies now leads the league in passing touchdowns. Rookie Ben Young led the defensive side of the ball with 2 INT. 

    The Free Agents usual high power offense took a standstill this week. QB Steve Suh tossed for 1 TD and rushed for another. WR/CB Roger DeLeon and Chris Delvecchio both had a pick each.

    Both teams enter Week 7 with a 5-1 record.


    Samurai Dragons 20 vs 20 IcyHots

    In the final game of Week 6, the Samurai Dragons faced off against the IcyHots, ending in a rare tie. The Dragons were led by QB Kaisuke Nagai who threw touchdowns to top receiver Minoru Nakashima and RB Hector Cheung. CB Takaki Sakagami led the defense with 1 INT return for a TD.

    QB Tyler Treece returned after a 3 week break, throwing for 3 TDs for the IcyHots. Top receiver Ken Chu caught 1 TD and now leads the receiving corps with 7 receiver touchdowns for the season. On the defensive side, rookie Shuhao Wu led the defense with 1 sack.

    Both teams add a tie to their record and head into week 7 in the middle of the standings.

    2021 Fall Season - Week 5 Recap


    As we approach the halfway point of the 2021 Fall Season, Week 5 included some exciting games with close calls and upsets!

    Lantau Buffaloes 20 vs 13 Lost Boys

    The Lantau Buffaloes claimed their first win of the season in a close victory against the Lost Boys. The Buffaloes were steady on offense and kept control of the clock throughout the game. QB Jay Ma threw for 2 touchdowns and rushed for another. Center Thompson Harun caught his first TD of the season. Defensively, Tyler Chew had an interception and several key 5th down stops against the Lost Boys.

    The Lost Boys kept this one close but fell short at the end. QB Chris Woo threw two touchdowns to WR Steve Safarowic and rookie WR Vic Baracco. This game brought both teams to a 1-4 record heading into the bye week.


    Samurai Dragons 37 vs 12 Hong Kong Football Team

    The Dragons dominated this game, continuing to showcase its high power offense each week. QB Keisuke Nagai threw for 4 touchdowns, with 3 TDs to top receiver Minoru Nakashima. RB Hector Cheung caught another TD, his second in consecutive weeks. Defensively, WR/DB Takaki Sakagami was all over the secondary, with 2 INTs and returning one of those for a touchdown.

    The Hong Kong Football Team couldn't continue their winning streak from last week. Rookie QB Emilio threw for 2 touchdowns to WR John Helkamp and Ryu Jihyup. 

    The Hong Kong Football Team heads into the bye week at 1-4 while the Samurai Dragons enters slightly below .500 at 2-3.


    Free Agents 43 vs 14 IcyHots

    The Free Agents took this game against the injury-ridden IcyHots. QB Steve Suh continues his strong season, throwing for 4 touchdowns and rushing for another. Top WR Travis Gavalis and WR Roger DeLeon both caught 2 TDs, while gadget player Chelsea Hammerschmidt threw for her first TD of the season. Defensively, the Free Agents were dominant with 3 picks. WR/LB Alton Chow led the team with a sack and an INT return for a touchdown.

    The IcyHots were missing a few key players, including QB Tyler Treece. WR Ken Chu filled in at QB, throwing for 1 touchdown to WR/LB Arya Demehri, who also caught an INT return for a touchdown.

    The Free Agents remains undefeated heading into the bye week, while the IcyHots look to improve their seeding with a 3-2 record.


    Ballhawks 19 vs 18 Thundercats

    In the closest scoring game of the week, the Ballhawks took this game with an upset win over the Thundercats. The Ballhawks were led by QB Alex Schultz and his 3 touchdowns, tossing 2 to QB/RB Brandon Little and another to WR Adam Brough. WR/DB Craig Karnitz recorded the only INT of the game.

    The Thundercats were missing a few offensive players, which ultimately affected their gameplan against the Ballhawks. QB Fred Davies threw for 3 TDs to three different receivers, while on the defensive side, LB Jonny Kuilderd had 2 sacks.

    With the upset win, the Ballhawks improved their record to 3-2, while the Thundercats suffer their first loss of the season, now holding a 4-1 record.

    2021 Fall Season - Week 4 Recap


    Week 4 of the Fall Season was an exciting one with some teams still searching for their first win while other teams look to head towards the middle of the season with a competitive record.


    Thundercats 20 vs 6 Lantau Buffaloes

    In dominant fashion, the Thundercats won this game 20-6. The Thundercats took control of this game on the defensive side of the ball, with rookie Ben Young snagging two interceptions, returning both for defensive touchdowns.

    The Buffaloes had some offensive success but were limited to key mistakes ending their drives. QB Jay Ma tossed the team's only touchdown to rookie Kian Baines, while rookie Anthony Baines had a pick for the Buffaloes. 

    The Thundercats head into Week 5 with a 4-0 record while the Buffaloes continue to search for their first win of the season.


    Ballhawks 20 vs 19 IcyHots

    In a nail-biter, the Ballhawks defeated the IcyHots by one point on a defensive stop on the last play of the game. QB Alex Schultz returned to his QB duties this week, leading the Ballhawks with 2 passing touchdowns, while QB/WR Brandon Little accounted for 3 touchdowns. Defensively, the Ballhawks were lead by John McCareins with 2 INTs and Brandon Reid with 1 INT.

    The IcyHots came into this game undefeated and came up short against the Ballhawks. QB Tyler Treece had 3 passing touchdowns, throwing to receivers Ken Chu and Andre Li. Rookie Shuhao Wu had two sacks.

    The Ballhawks even up their season record at 2-2 while the IcyHots head into Week 5 at 3-1.


    Free Agents 36 vs 29 Samurai Dragons

    In the highest scoring game of the week, the Free Agents took this win against the Samurai Dragons. The Free Agents came from behind in this back and forth contest, with QB Steve Suh tossing a key touchdown and 2 point conversion to take the lead with 1 final play remaining for the Samurai Dragons. WR/DB Roger DeLeon iced the game with a pick 6 on the final play of the game for the Free Agents to remain 4-0.

    The Samurai Dragons put up a great fight in this contest, with QB Keisuke Nagai passing for 3 TDs, to top receivers Minoru Nakashima and Masaki Sugawara. The Samurai Dragons head into Week 5 tied with 2 other teams with a 1-3 record.


    Hong Kong Football Team 27 vs 9 Lost Boys

    The Hong Kong Football Team claimed their first win of the season against the Lost Boys with a strong game from rookie QB Emilio throwing for 3 touchdowns. WR John Helkamp had two receiving touchdowns, while doing his part on the defensive end with an INT. WR/DB Ady Adefris had 2 INTs, scoring on 1 of the picks, to secure this first win for the HKFT.

    Lost Boys had a strong win last week but unfortunately couldn't continue their hot streak. Chris Woo threw for the only TD to WR Steve Safarowic. Defensively, rookie Abdul Tahhan continues to dominate as a rusher with 3 sacks and now leads the league in sacks.

    2021 Fall Season - Week 3 Recap


    Week 3 of the 2021 Fall Season continued with a flurry of teams looking to continue their undefeated season while other teams strived to get their first win of the season.


    Thundercats 32 vs 0 Hong Kong Football Team

    The Thundercats rolled through this game winning 32-0. Led by QB Fred Davies, he threw 4 TDs to three different receivers. WR Alexis T filled the stat sheet with 2 receiving TDs, 1 rushing TD, and a INT on defense.

    The Hong Kong Football Team was shut out this game as they try to find their footing. The Thundercats remain undefeated at 3-0 and the Hong Kong Football Team continue to search for their first win of the season, currently at 0-3.


    IcyHots 28 vs 2 Lantau Buffaloes

    Another matchup between an undefeated team and a team searching for its first win, the IcyHots took this one in dominant fashion, beating the Lantau Buffaloes 28 to 2.

    IcyHots QB Tyler Treece continues with his strong season start, throwing for 3 TDs and rushing for another. Receiver Jon Tong led the receiving corps with 2 TDs. DB Jak Lam had a multiple pick game, while rookie Shuhao Wu recorded his first sack of the season.

    The Lantau Buffaloes only put up 2 points this game on an unconventional defensive TD on a 2 point conversion try. Despite scoring 28 points in week 2, the offense was unable to keep up with the IcyHots for this game.

    The IcyHots move on to 3-0 while the Lantau Buffaloes are still looking for their first win, currently at 0-3.


    Lost Boys 20 vs 19 Samurai Dragons

    This nail-biter was the closest game of the week, with the Lost Boys edging over the Samurai Dragons 20 to 19. Rookie QB Oscar Lu threw for 3 TDs spreading the ball to three different receivers for TDs. Rookie rusher Abdul Tahhan continues to be dominant on the defensive end, recording another sack this week.

    For the Samurai Dragons, WR Minoru Nakashima filled in admirably at QB this week, throwing for 2 TDs and rushing for another. Ryo Nishikawa caught another TD as the Dragon's leading receiver, while Hector Cheung caught Nakashima's other TD throw. Defensively, Polo Wu had the only sack of the game for the Dragons. 


    Free Agents 24 vs 7 Ballhawks

    The last game of the night was between the undefeated Free Agents and the Ballhawks. The Free Agents took this one but the game was a lot closer than the score indicated.

    The Free Agents were led by QB Steve Suh, who has fit in well to lead the his new team after transferring from the Revengers during the offseason. Suh tossed 2 TDs and rushed for another. WR Travis Gavalis caught another TD, now leading the league with 5 TDs. The Free Agents held their ground on defense, keeping the Ballhawks high scoring offense to single digits with 2 INTs as well.

    The Ballhawks connected on their only score with a TD throw from QB Brandon Little to WR Adam Brough, while also picking off the Free Agents twice.

    The Free Agents remain undefeated while the Ballhawks come into week 4 with a 1-2 record.

    Week 2 of the 2021 Fall Season were full of exciting games as some teams looked to continue their winning streaks while other teams vied to even their records.


    Lantau Buffaloes 28 vs 45 Free Agents

    The Lantau Buffaloes faced off against the Free Agents in this one being a shootout. QB Jay Ma of the Buffaloes threw for 4 TDs, connecting on 2 with his top receiver Rocky Ramos, who currently leads the team with 4 receiving TDs. WR Arnav Tibrewal also caught 2 TDs. Despite scoring 4 TDs, it was not enough for the Buffaloes to overtake the Free Agent's top scoring offense.

    The Free Agents were led by QB Steve Suh, who filled the stat sheet, logging in a rushing TD, receiving TD, an INT returned for a defensive TD, in addition to tossing 3 TDs. Suh spread the ball around, throwing TDs to 3 different WRs. Janet Zeldin also threw a TD, with the Free Agents scoring a whopping 45 points and going to 2-0 for the season.


    Hong Kong Football Team 8 vs 25 IcyHots

    The IcyHots took this one with consistency and stability, led by Tyler Treece and his 4 TDs. Four different receivers caught touchdowns and the IcyHots look to continue their winning streak with solid play on both sides of the ball.

    The Hong Kong Football Team put up single digits again this week as they look to develop their team chemistry, with veterans and new players still getting used to playing on the same field. Rookie QB Emilio threw the only score for the HK Football Team to WR Ady Adefris, who now leads the team with two receiving TDs.


    Lost Boys 6 vs 34 Thundercats

    The Lost Boys faced off against last season's reigning Champions, the Thundercats, losing 6 to 34. Lost Boys made a switch at QB this week with rookie QB Oscar Lu, who threw for the team's only score and also making a pick on defense. Steve Safarowic was the receiving end of Lu's TD, while also taking a pick himself.

    Thundercats were led by QB Fred Davies, who threw for 5 TDs this game, 4 of which went to new Rookie WR Ben Young. C Aldo Legarda caught Davies other TD. Davies now currently leads the HKAFL in Passing TDs with 8, while leading his team to a 2-0 start to the season.


    Samurai Dragons 27 vs 25 Ballhawks

    The final game of the night between the Samurai Dragons and Ballhawks did not disappoint, which was the closest scoring contest of Week 2. Samurai Dragons came up with the upset win, despite only scoring 6 points in Week 1. QB Keisuke Nagai threw 4 TDs, hitting receivers Minoru Nakashima for 2 TDs, and receivers Masaki Sugawara and Ryo Nishikawa each for a TD.

    Ballhawks put up 25 points but ultimately came up short in a hard fought game. QB Brandon Little continues to perform well, throwing for 4 TDs and catching another TD. Veteran receiver Mark Brough caught 2 TDs and Kwaku Koram caught another TD. The Ballhawks look to rebound next week to get back above .500.

    The HKAFL kicked off its season this past Sunday with all 8 teams vying to start their seasons with a win.

    Thundercats 32 vs 6 Samurai Dragons

    The Thundercats (previously Revengers) and the reigning league champions faced off against the Samurai Dragons. Both teams lost some players during the summer off-season, including new quarterbacks manning the helm this year. Sporting a new name, the Thundercats emerged victorious with a 32 - 6 win against the Samurai Dragons. New Thundercats QB Fred Davies had 3 TDs, hitting receivers Thomas Man for 2 TDs and Alex Galbraith for another. They were equally dominant on the defensive side of the ball, with Jonny Kuilderd's 2 Sacks and Alex Galbraith 2 Ints, returning one of them for a TD.

    The Samurai Dragons were led by QB Masataka Nozaki, who connected his only TD with WR Takaaki Sakagami, who also had an INT on the defensive side of the ball.


    IcyHots 20 vs 13 Lost Boys

    The IcyHots, who finished in 2nd place last season, won 20-13 in a nail-biter against the Lost Boys. Both teams added a few new players to their teams during the offseason. The IcyHots were led by Tyler Treece, who converted to QB from WR and accounted for 2 Passing TDs while rushing in another TD. Ken Chu led the IcyHots in receiving with 2 TDs while new rookie Wally Her solidified the win with a safety.

    The Lost Boys went with the ground game, with 1 rushing TD each for Steve Safarowic and Jake Hung. Alex Verge had 1 INT and Lost Boys rookie Abdul Tabhan had 2 sacks.


    Ballhawks 29 vs 13 Buffaloes 

    The Ballhawks look to be one of the darkhorse teams this season, and most certainly so while adding size, height and speed with several newcomers to both sides of the ball. Led by QB Brandon Little, the Ballhawks led comfortably with a 2 TD lead for the majority of the game.

    The Lantau Buffaloes were led by QB Jay Ma, who connected for 2 TDs to receiver Rocky. WR/CB Ralph led the defense with 1 INT.


    Free Agents 32 vs 6 Hong Kong Football Team

    The last game of the night was between veteran team Free Agents and Hong Kong Football Team, who joined the league last season with a combined roster of former Flying Bills and Roughriders players. Free Agents were led by new QB Steve Suh, former Revenger who joined the Free Agents during the offseason. Steve embraced his new role on a new team, with 3 passing TDs on offense and 1 INT return for a TD on defense. WR Travis Gavalis led the league this week with 3 receiving TDs. The Free Agents were equally impressive on the defensive side of the ball, led by Chris Delvecchio with 2 INTS and Janet Zeldin with 3 sacks.

    The Hong Kong Football Team open this season with an almost new team, having only 3 returning players from last season. The team was led by new recruit Emilio at QB, who connected for his only touchdown with team veteran receiver Ady Adefris, who also had himself an INT.
